New Feature: Online Chat

We have exciting news! With our new update, online chat is available straight from your desktop as well as from the Salon Tracker application.

At Salon Tracker, we are always striving to create a seamless experience for our customers, and with the advancement of technology comes the advancement of Salon Tracker, with online chat.

Online chat is a great way to contact us for any questions or support that you may need! Our trained technical team monitor the chat during our working hours, making sure to answer any queries that you may have! Since it launched, the online chat has been successful at quickly resolving any questions that you may have, meaning that you can focus your attention on your customers!

As the busy season begins, you may find yourself too busy to be on the phone, so you may want to just drop a message in the chat, making it easier for you to continue serving your customers, keeping them happy.  You can even use our online chat through your smartphone by going to our website and clicking the chat icon, making it easier than ever.

Studies show that 63% of consumers prefer using online chat as a channel of support communication. Online chat is a more convenient way for you to get in touch with us, with fast response times so that you won't need to wait on hold! Having the messages written out can help with having a better understanding the information given, resolving your query faster and more efficiently!

If the online chat icon does not appear on your desktop or in the help section in Salon Tracker, please contact us to update your software.

Feature of the month - Online payments


We know how busy you can be in your Salon, why not make things that little bit easier by having your customers purchase their services online beforehand. With our online payments feature you can have customers pay deposits prior to their appointment's or pay the full service amount to speed up the check in process. What's not to love?

How do online payments work?

On our Enterprise package you will have access to your very own personlised online page with the options of booking and shop. This means that your customers can select what they would like to book in for and see what days and times are available. You can then choose whether you want your customers to pay the service in full or just a deposit. If you prefer the use of walk ins at your salon you can still benefit from an online page as clients can still pay for services online and then come into the salon with that service stored on their account ready to use. Salon Tracker's online payment feature gives customers the options of entering bank details manually or they can use Apple pay, Google Pay and Klarna. Once a payment is completed online it automatically syncs with your Salon Tracker so that you don't miss a thing. 

 

Online Bookings-

On your very own customised booking page you can list all of your available services and times for your customers to look through and select. They can then pay for this booking whilst they are online using our different payment options. This payment feature is guaranteed to streamline your payment process leading to lower wait times and higher customer satisfaction. 

Deposits -

Are you wanting to reduce no shows? Online deposits are the way to go, you can set either a percentage amount or a flat rate, such as £10, for each service that you offer. When the customer comes in for their appointment they just have the remaining amount to pay, which Salon Tracker will work our for you. This deposit feature is proven to reduce your customers no shows and ensure your salon is always booming. 

 Shop - 

Online payments isn't just useful for bookings, you can also set up a shop feature where your customers can purchase a service in advance without making a booking. If you offer a walk in service at your salon this would be a perfect option. Having your clients purchase their service in advance will speed up your check in time so that you can focus solely on the customers experience.

How Salon Tracker's online features can help your Salon!



On Salon Tracker’s Enterprise package, we have a range of online features that can help you build profits, win customers and grow your business. In this blog we will discuss the features we can offer you.

Online booking:

Salon Tracker's online bookings page allows your customers to log in using an email and pin to view and create their booking anytime, anywhere, any place. Research shows that over 36% of our customers' online bookings were made out of their salon's opening hours. By having customers log in using their email and pin, connects their online booking account to their customer card within Salon Tracker. This keeps all of their booking history, no matter if they were made in store or online, in one place. We can EVEN customise your online booking page with your salon logo and colour scheme to match your salon aesthetic.

Online Payments:

One of Salon Tracker’s newest and highly used online features is online payments. This gives your salon the opportunity to take deposits or full payment amounts through your online page. Taking deposits for online bookings reduces the likelihood of customer no shows as they have already partially paid. Also, by giving customers the ability to purchase services such as tanning courses and eyebrow waxes, your salon could be making a profit whilst you enjoy a good night's sleep.

Siteview:

Siteview, which is also known as homeview, gives you the ability to keep up with the activities of your salon from anywhere in the world whether you’re in sunny Jamaica or at home with the kids.

The dashboard feature gives you the ability to quickly keep up with what’s going on at your salon by showing you things such as overall takings and the amount of customers who have visited that day.

Siteview also gives you the opportunity to view all of your customer details, calendars and all of your business reports that you get on Salon Tracker.

This is available as a weblink or downloadable app.

Online data sync:

Salon Tracker's Enterprise package also gives you online backups. This means that all of  your Salon Tracker data is stored safely in the cloud, meaning that if anything were to happen to your salon PC we can just download your information to another one.

5 Salon Tracker reports that will change your life!

 

On Salon Tracker, there are over 40 different reports that can help your business, but have you used them all? Today we are going to go through 5 of our favourite reports and how they will benefit your business. 


Action Log 

The action log is one of the most useful reports on Salon Tracker as it will show you every action that has been performed on Salon Tracker, accounting for every second from when you open Salon Tracker, to when you shut it down! It also tells you which user was logged in at the time. All of this means that you can have peace of mind when you’re not in the salon, knowing that you’ll be able to check every action whenever you need.  

 

Day End 

The day end receipt is a great summary of the day at your salon, including a breakdown of sales taken from bookings or retail products, customers that have been in, a summary of your bookable items (sunbeds or beauticians e.g.) and much more! This report is great for every day use to be able to see how your business is performing at a glance, day-by-day.  

 

Service Minutes Remaining by Customer 

This report allows you to see your customer list and how many minutes they have left to use on the sunbeds. This is great to be able to see which customers have minutes on their accounts and when those minutes expire. It is a lot quicker to see customers’ minutes from this report rather than having to individually look at everyone’s customer cards to see their remaining minutes so it will save you time so that you can focus on other things. 

 

Stock Check/Stock Levels 

The stock reports are extremely useful for monitoring the stock levels of your products in the salon. With the stock check report, you can use this to physically count how many of each product you have in the salon, and then compare it against the stock level report which tells you how many of each product there should be so that you can see if there’s any discrepancies between the two. This is extremely useful as if the levels counted were different, you would be able to identify this and then look into why and notice if it is a continuous occurrence.

 

Sales/Bookings by Day Chart  

On the sales by day chart, you will be able to see your total sales, booking sales and retail sales split up by day. This is very useful for identifying which days your salon performs best, which could help you adjust different components in your business to bring the sales up on the under performing days. This can be used alongside the bookings by day chart which shows how many bookings have been made on each day of the week, including charts for cancellations and no shows. By using these reports, you will be able to identify your strongest and weakest days for business.

Our New Support System

We want to make getting help from us as easy as possible, which is why we have introduced a new help section on our website for you and your staff (Help - Salon Tracker). Here you will find plenty of help videos and guides on loads of different sections of the software. Perfect for staff training or if you ever get stuck and just need a quick guide on what to do.




Help Videos (Support Videos - Salon Tracker)

Our help videos have been stored within in the software for quite a while now, so we thought it would be helpful to have these accessible at any time, even when you’re not actually in the salon. The help videos follow the menu within Salon Tracker to make them as easy to follow as possible, starting with bookings all the way through to help. On our help home page there is also a search feature that brings up any videos or guides that match your search, so if you are unsure of which section the video will fall under you can use the search instead.

Each video is around 1-3 minutes and shows a walk-through of how to complete different tasks on the software. 

User Guides

Similar to the videos we also have lots of different help guides (Help Guides - Salon Tracker) to help with issues you may come across when using the system, for example how to reconnect your receipt printer. These can be downloaded to your phone and include simple steps in order to resolve any issues you may be having with the system.

Support Chat

We also now have our support chat live, here you can message a member of our team to ask any questions you may have and they will be able to point you in the right direction. You can also email yourself any chat transcript to refer back to for future help or we can email this direct to you!

 

With all the help guides now being accessible straight from your phones, it makes it 10x easier to get support and to train your staff. Our New Website!

You may have noticed that we have completely redesigned our website - Salon Tracker to a brand new, more modernise & more accessible channel.

We decided that after a long while of the website being the same website we designed over 5 years ago that it was time for a new one with much more features and a lot of adjustments.

Some of our biggest changes are:

 A whole new help section 

We've added a convenient help section to our website to help our customers navigate the software easily. Search for a specific key word in our help search bar such as 'TMAX' and it will come up with a range of help guides to help you navigate any issues you may be having. You can also access our big range of help videos & our live chat for any queries.

- A much improved Blog Page

Our blog page has had a complete makeover! We've added a search function so you can find exactly what you are looking for without having to scroll through each and every blog. Additional to this, we've added a 'filter' option so you can find multiple blogs that all fit under the same topic, giving you lots of insightful ideas that you can apply to your Salon life.
